Fenty's Twitter

Fenty's twitter account is followed by 767.3K users. This is lower than both their Instagram and Facebook accounts. This is where we tend to see a less serious side of many brands, as Twitter is seen as an entertainment platform. On average, their posts amass a few hundred likes, retweets, and comments. However, they do have few posts that reach thousands.

Recently, it was announced that Rihanna would be the Super Bowl halftime performer. This is a massive honor and Fenty was quick to showcase its founder using its brand personality. SpredFast's guide says,"Slang, emotion and a point of view provide a memorable tweet while also distinguishing yourself from the sea of other Twitter users and tweets.

Personality FTW!"

This is a great example of a brand not being afraid to speak how they want to.

According to SpredFast's "10 Tips to Rock the Twittersphere", making a meme is a powerful way to start some engagement with followers. The previous picture of Rihanna holding the NFL football was remade to show her holding various products from Fenty's makeup line. This SKYROCKETED on Twitter, amassing 89.2K likes from followers and prompted them to make their own versions, which warranted retweets from the company.

As previously mentioned, Fenty typically limits responses, however, on Twitter, it is easier to see how often the brand praises users of its products. While they don't answer questions that might arise concerning their products, they almost always praise talented makeup artists.

Driving engagement and participation

According to Khoros's Social Media Pocket Guide, having consumer participation will allow for open conversation. Here, Fenty is gaging its users on their preferred lip gloss formula, as they recently released a creamy finish and a plumping gloss. Overwhelmingly, users enjoy their original formula which is likely to prompt shade range expansions of their OG Gloss Bomb.
